- What happens after the 14 days?
- Three days before the trial ends we email your administrator a link to add a card. Add one and the plan you chose starts from the day the trial ends, with a VAT invoice by email each time. Do nothing and the workshop pauses: everything you recorded stays readable and exportable, and adding a card later picks up where you left off.
- Why no card up front?
- Because you should judge it on a real job, not a demo. A commercial-vehicle job spans days; a fortnight is long enough to run one end to end. If it isn't for you, there's nothing to cancel.
- What's a user licence?
- A person who can sign in to the app. Standard includes four; Premium is unlimited. Mechanics you record work against don't need a licence unless they use the app themselves.
- Is the app included?
- Yes — the iOS app for iPad and iPhone is the product, on both plans. Android is coming. Sign up here, then sign in to the app with the same email and password.
- How do I pay?
- By card or SEPA direct debit through Stripe, from the link we email. You get a VAT invoice in Workbay's name every time — reclaimable input VAT, the way your accountant expects. Prices are quoted ex VAT; the inc-VAT figure is beside each one.
- Can I change plan later?
- Yes, from the same billing portal — Standard to Premium or back, monthly to yearly or back. The difference is prorated to the day, and the four-user limit or the Stripe payments switch follows the plan straight away.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from Stripe's billing portal, linked in every invoice email and on the billing page here. The plan runs to the end of the period already paid for — the month, or the year — and nothing is charged after. Your data stays readable and exportable; it stops taking new work, not answering for old work. If you want it gone altogether, an administrator can close the workshop from the app, which cancels the subscription and deletes everything.
- Why doesn't the app take payment or sign-ups?
- Buying happens on the web and by email, once, by whoever holds the company card. The app is for the people holding the tools, and it stays out of the shop window.
- Do my customers pay Workbay?
- Never. On Premium, your customers pay you — card, Tap to Pay, transfer or direct debit land in your own Stripe account, in your name, on your statement. Workbay adds no fee on your takings.
